ABOUT WINE ROOM COOLING

It uses the near-constant temperature of the earth just below the surface to provide cooling capability. Geothermal cooling is not new; throughout history, people have kept foods and beverages, such as wine, cool by storing them in below ground cellars. Wine cellar cooling units work in the same way as a domestic  refrigerator-using a refrigerant that cycles through a compressor, a condenser and a evaporator to exchange the warm air inside any given space for cooler/cold air.
